Hello folks. Welcome to what I am assuming is either somewhere inside Hex, an approximate location on L-Space… or a heady mixture of the two. I guess really only the site creators would know exactly where we are so I’ll leave the thinking up to the grown ups.

I just thought I’d say hello and give a space for you to say hello as well. I’m CommanderVimes, I’m hurtling towards 40 with no sign of slowing down, I love video games and technology and in my real life, I work as a writer. Hoping to link up with more Discworld-loving folks here on rune-time

Unfortunately, negative feedback was received when it was inside Hex, something about it being “too mousy, and altogether too anty”, so now it sits on the periphery of some interdimensional fold, created by Hex, which is likely L-Space adjacent.

Death of Rats

Hello. I somehow surpassed 40 when I wasn’t looking.*

Anyway, I dabble in just about everything, but excel at little. It’s the squirrel brain. However, it does have benefit of keeping me from being bored, so I will keep feeding the squirrels for awhile longer. My current fixations include sewing, hamsters, video games, and reading.

I have an unmatched pair of teenagers who look so much like me, it’s almost like they were created with cloning technology. Almost. The neuro-spicy runs strong in our family, so caring for them continues to be like a full-time job, even though they no longer need me to wipe their noses or bums.

*I blame COVID. It took a few years of life, jumbled them up like skeins of yarn in the dryer, and then dumped them in a thick fog.
